Client:

Pure Impact Boxing Gym is a fictional high-intensity gym.

Challenge:

To create a two-sided spec direct mail piece to promote their free 3-day pass. The challenge is to get new customers to try the gym and join with a membership. Their audience is busy, active 20-40-year-olds, so the copy must communicate the gym’s extended hours and efficient, challenging group classes and personal training sessions.

Solution:

The urgent, exciting tone appeals to the audience’s need for an energetic, convenient gym that fits their schedules. Since the gym aims to get new members, I included “Free 3-Day Pass” on both sides of the piece to catch the reader’s attention and incite them to continue reading. The bullet points list the gym’s features for a quick read and elaborate on the deeper benefits of flexible hours and optimized workouts. The gym’s address is written on both sides of the piece, so new clients know where to get the pass.
