How I Got Into Copywriting

It started with an email.

I was a 2nd-grade teacher at the time, just doing my thing, without a thought that I’d ever own a business or become a copywriter. Then one day, my friend who owns a business needed some writing help, so she asked if I could edit an email to a client.

She figured I’d have to know how to write if I was a teacher, so I said, of course!

I was happy to help and had no idea it would soon evolve into a new career.

Then came another email, and then another, so I began editing her emails and website content on a regular basis.

She told other friends, and I was suddenly working on writing projects for various businesses.

I noticed they all had one thing in common, they had beautiful products and services but needed help delivering their messaging. 

That’s when I realized businesses need clear, personable copywriting to show the world who they are and what they have to offer. That’s also when I realized it was time to transition from the classroom and take copywriting full-time.

My passion is helping your business grow through words.
